And the Sound Input goes to my microphone which I don't want to happen...

I can record things fine in game with sound, but then when I go to play what I have recorded theres a 50% chance that the file will be nothing but pure static. I have tried switching the volume when I'm recording, using the "no sync" option in Fraps, etc. I don't understand why half of the time a file comes out as pure static.
