Is there any possible way to change the DirectX setting on the retail version of FC2 without opening it? My copy closes itself about 1 second into the first splash screen due to some problem with my 4870 and DX10 on FC2. If I run FC2 in different compatibility options, it runs like shit with a chuggy framerate and rediculous loadtimes. I'd be grateful to anyone who could help with this, I got about 2 hours into the game til the DX10 was updated by some tool and was just getting into the fucking thing when I tried to load the game again.

I have no fucking idea of where to get a decent laptop. Has anyone got any advice regarding good sites to check out? Preferably a site with laptops with the capabilities to play most games out at the moment, even if only to a very iffy level of performance. Before I get any stupid comments about gaming laptops sucking, it is for someone who will spend most of their time moving around mainly by sea.

ROFL WoW is a breeze to rage but never gets boring since there is practically an infinate supply of idiots, especially on the alliance side. A friend of mine calls everyone he comes into contact with nerds, you wouldn't fucking believe how angry they get over that 1 word. I once had a dwarf paladin called Gaybeard, got reported countless times and everytime a GM questioned me I told them Happybeard was already taken (friend took the name just incase the WoW thought police would bother to check).

I was quite suprised by how much I enjoyed the Dark Knight, however I felt that they tied up too many things that could've gotten an entire film of their own (for example Twoface).
