  7. tech trading tips never buy more than 50 tech at once when tech trading don't buy it in increments of 10 but in increments of the following: 4.5, 10, 10, 5, 10, 10, 0.5 - that saves you a lot of money and therefore increases surplus income your welcome friends

  9. uncle jim bob helpful tip list to the losers on the forum 1. change your aa to 'myg0t' 2. change your team to 'red' 3. buy 30 infra and a bit of land - just enough to be rid of the red text on your nation page. thereafter you should only save money though always pay your bills and at that with money from tech deals - after 20 days of paying bills and saving your collect - collect it - viola - nice collect. repeat again. it costs 10,000,000 or so to get to 1000 infra. every nation of myg0t must get to 300 infra(structure) and hold there. then save all of your money. saved money is necessary during war and by 'save' I mean do tech-deals preferably 50/3 as that is most profitable - what is 50/3? read the next order. 4. register on their forum and tell people you are selling 100 tech or 50 tech for 3m here: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showforum=62 (i apologise for the link quality) 5. you can do the same thing on their irc chatrooms: irc.coldfront.net 6. defcon 5 while you collect taxes, defcon 1 while you're savin' 7. war is always an option 8. join #black on irc for chatting about cybernations and why ujb is the best myg0t as for goals, as for why we are playing cybernations, i side with the second poster and echo his sentiments wholly - gaiety and pink ribbons? all the more reason to follow orders. welcome to myg0t

  13. So you wanna buy some improvements, but you don't know which ones You can buy an improvement for every 1000 citizens. There are a few different orders, but you'll be good if you buy them in this order: 1. Harbor 2. Foreign Ministry 3. Factory 4. Factory 5. Factory 6. Factory 7. Factory At this point you want happiness and income increase. You can buy stadiums and banks 5 at a time, or alternate them; it's up to you. 8. Stadium/Bank 9. Stadium/Bank 10. Stadium/Bank 11. Stadium/Bank 12. Stadium/Bank 13. Stadium/Bank 14. Stadium/Bank 15. Stadium/Bank 16. Stadium/Bank 17. Stadium/Bank With banks and stadiums in place, you can either go two ways: (a) more population (more citizens paying taxes=more revenue) or (b) income increasing (fewer citizens paying more taxes per citizen). If you go with (a) first, then follow it with (b), and vice versa. If you are techdealing, lean toward (a) because universities will decrease tech cost, increasing your tech deal profit. a1. School b1. Clinic a2. School b2. Clinic a3. School b3. Hospital a4. University b4. Clinic a5. School b5. Clinic a6. School b6. Clinic a7. University With all of the aboce bought (both A and B) done, you've got another decision to make. At this point, if you've been giving it the most modest amount of effort, your nation is pretty decent, in the 14,000 nation strength range. Some nations your size even have nukes! You can either continue with economic improvements for the next 10 slots, or you can start beefing your nation up miltarily (or obviously you can mix things up rather than buying in blocks). Regardless of which way you want to go, I'd say to stick with a set #30. 30. Intelligence Agency. You can buy up to 5 IAs like most other improvements, but get at least 1 now. At your size, a lot of people begin rogue spying for fun, having plenty of spies of your own reducses the chance that you will be targeted. a1. Church b. a2. Church b. a3. Church b. a4. Church b. a5. Church b. a6. Police Headquarters b. a7. Police Headquarters b. a8. Police Headquarters b. a9. Police Headquarters b. a10. Police Headquarters b. Swapping: During certain times, you have to destroy certain improvement to swap them out for other improvements. Always base which improvements you destroy first on the situation, then by cost to replace. During war, you should destroy imrovements to swap out for max guerilla camps and satellites. Do not destroy population-boosting improvements for your swap, because a higher population means a larger soldier threshold (and therefore more tanks, too). During infrastructure buying, destroy improvements to swap out for max factories.; for example, if I have 5 banks because I've just collected taxes, then I destroy them because they're cheap. During a longterm bill pay, swap out for max labor camps. If you have 5 unfilled spots, then of course you don't need to improvement swap.
  14. how to get new nations to reach enough infra to be self-sufficient. Here we go. First, the following is the cost of infrastructure purchase: 0-19.99 = 500 20-99.99 = 12 X Infra Level + 500 100-199.99 = 15 X Infra Level + 500 200-999.99 = 20 X Infra Level + 500 1000-2999.99 = 25 X Infra Level + 500 3000-3999.99 = 30 X Infra Level + 500 4000-4999.99 = 40 X Infra Level + 500 5000-7999.99 = 60 X Infra Level + 500 8000-14999.99 = 70 X Infra Level + 500 15000-?? = 80 X Infra Level + 500 If we calculate it, we can see the amount of cash that is needed to read an infra leap, assuming no reduction from resources and wonders: 20 infra: 10,000 100 infra: 97,600 200 infra: 275,000 1000 infra: 10,000,000 3000 infra: 101,000,000 4000 infra: 105,500,000 So in short, you need $111,382,600 to reach 3000 infra, and $216,882,600 to reach 4000 infra. If we are to suppose a 3BR nation with 5 factories, the cost will be: 3000 infra: $44,775,805,20 4000 infra: $87,186,805.20 This basically means that if you give a new nation around $18 million, that nation can reach 3000 infra, should the nation player use all the money to buy infra and then collect at 17 days of uncollected taxes. I hope this has been of some help for you.
  15. Tech Dealing Tech dealing is far and away the best way to grow your nation in its early stages. Tech dealing is the mutually beneficial exchange of money and technology, with a small nation gaining money and a large nation gaining technology. Technology’s most important use is in war, where it is the biggest factor in determining success or defeat in battle, as well as being a fairly large factor in the amount of damage done in nuclear attacks, affecting spy attacks, giving happiness up to a small level of technology, and decreases your bills. However, with the relatively tiny amount of money nations under 2999.99 infrastructure have at their disposal and the high costs of infrastructure, there is little point in a small nation buying technology for themselves. In addition, the cost of technology rises dramatically with the amount of technology you own, which is highly restrictive for large nations. This is where tech dealing comes in. A large nation will send $3 million to a small nation, which will end up sending 100 technology back. As the costs for the small nation are minimal, the small nation will end up with a little less than 1.5 million left over, while the large nation will get their technology at a much lower price than if they bought it themselves. The small nation is called a tech seller, and the large nation is called a tech buyer. The logistics of tech dealing are controlled by five basic rules: 1. Foreign aid may not exceed $3 million in cash or 50 technology. 2. You may only have a total of 5 active foreign aid offers at a time, counting both sending and receiving. 3. Foreign aid offers will be considered active for 10 days after they are offered (notice: not accepted). 4. You may not have more than one active trade offer with the same person at the same time time. 5. You may send foreign trade offers to other nation rulers for as much technology as you have on hand, even if the total technology you are offering in all of your foreign aid is combined more than you have on hand. (Example: If I have 50 technology on hand, I can send out foreign offers to 5 other people for 50 technology. If one person accepts, the other nations will not be able to accept until I have bought 50 more technology.) The going rate of technology is usually $3 million for 100 tech, although charging $3 million for 50 tech is becoming more common. A nation should NEVER buy or have over over 50 tech on hand when tech dealing. Because you can only send 50 tech at one time, you only need to have that 50 tech on hand to send the maximum technology in an aid offer. If you buy more than that, you will be wasting money by buying that technology at a higher price. In addition, by Rule #5, you should always send as many offers as you can to the people you owe. Don’t wait until one player accepts their offer to send out another- this will slow down the process, as the time for a foreign aid deal to expire is measured from the day you offer, not the day you accept. Always know when your last offer with someone expires and you can send more technology. Technology dealers who are efficient and reliable will always be in demand, which will be good for you and reflect well on the alliance, meaning that the Cult can get more overall tech deals. If you are a buyer, send a message to your seller a day or two before the deal is set to run. Finally, the cheapest way to buy 50 technology is to buy 4.5 tech first, then four sets of 10 tech, then 5.5 technology. 1. never have more than 50 tech bought, don't buy all the tech for all your orders at once, buy only before you send as well. 2. buy it in this, not as above, order: 4.5, 10, 10, 5, 10, 10, 0.5 3. always keep slots fillt
  16. Herein lies the basic knowledge you will need to build your nation into a powerhouse. Building a nation does not require much: simply check into your nation daily, and generally speaking all you will have to do is pay bills. Here are the basics to starting out in CN. Time and Forums Cyber Nations can take as much or as little of your time as you want. Technically, you may keep control of your nation simply by checking in once every 25 days; however, in order to get enjoyment out of the game, you should check in at least once a day in order to maintain your nation and, more importantly, monitor politics. Generally speaking, the more time you can spare for Cyber Nations, the more involved you can get in its politics. There are multiple methods of communication in Cyber Nations, and each provides a different function. Your nation has its own method of private messaging; this will often be used for crucial messages, such as war alerts, and some other in-game aspects such as trading. Another method of communication are the forums. There is the Cyber Nations forums, which are for all players of Cyber Nations, and then each individual alliance will have its own forums. Whenever you log into your nation, you should also check the forums. It is the primary method of distributing information, and is necessary for communication among the Cult. The final method of communication is IRC, a method of chat which is used for players to talk in real time. To use IRC, you need an IRC client- the most popular are mIRC and Chatzilla, but if you don’t want to download anything you can use Mibbit. IRC allows you to get to know other players personally, and is crucial during times of high activity and when you need immediate answers, such as a war or just before a back collection. While not required, using IRC is highly recommended by the Cult. The Basics of Nationbuilding Though it may seem daunting at first, building your nation is a very simple process. Once you get the hang of it, it will quickly become habit. There are three basic building blocks of your nation: land, infrastructure, and technology. Infrastructure is the most important of these, as it determines how many citizens you have and thus how much tax money you collect. In addition, as you gain more infrastructure, you will be able to buy improvements for every 1000 citizens you have, which will dramatically help your nation. Technology is primarily used during war, and is prohibitively expensive for new nations. However, it is a crucial part of tech dealing, which is explained in another guide. Land is the least important of these, and the only reason you should buy it is if you have a red message at the top of your nation screen saying that your population density is too high. Two other factors affect your nation- happiness and environment. Each point of happiness is worth $2 of civilian income, which will raise your tax collection. Happiness is affected by improvements, random events, your nation’s stances, trades, any messages in red at the top of your nation. Environment affects your population count and happiness. It is affected by trades (importing coal, oil, and uranium hurt your environment), owning nuclear weapons, owning border walls, and the Global Radiation Level. The GRL is (number of nations nuked in the past 30 days*300)/all nations in the game. The GRL is capped at 5.00, and your environment will never be lower than the GRL unless you have the Radiation Cleanup bonus resource. Tax Rate and Government Positions You should choose the following government positions: A, *, B, B, B, A, B, B. This will maximize your profits. *- If you do not have uranium or nuclear weapons, choose A. If you have uranium but not nuclear weapons, choose B. If you have nuclear weapons, choose C. Set your tax rate at 28%. Back Collecting and Improvement Swapping One notable aspect of Cyber Nations is that you do not have to pay bills or collect taxes every day. Back collecting is paying bills daily for an extended period of time up to 20 days, and then buying infrastructure or a wonder and collecting taxes for the past 20 days based on that new infrastructure value or population happiness. This means that if you are buying infrastructure, you will gain twenty days worth of extra income on that infrastructure while paying taxes based on your old infrastructure value. When you are buying a wonder, back collecting will extend the benefits of buying your wonder up to 20 days before you actually bought the wonder. Never back collect over 20 days, as you will not be able to collect more than 20 days worth of taxes, and at 25 days of inactivity you will be deleted. Once your nation grows, you will be able to begin improvement swapping. This is used in conjunction with back collecting to further increase profits. You should begin doing this when the amount of taxes you are paying on taxes times the number of days you will be back collecting is more than $750,000 (because that is how much your labor camps will cost). Improvement swapping is when you buy 5 labor camps to decrease bills, then on the day you collect destroy these labor camps and build the improvements next in the build order. This will dramatically decrease your bills and increase your profits. Religion and Government Your religion should always be what your people want. Here is the key for what each message means: None - Perhaps they do not desire a religion. Mixed - There is no dominant religion among your population at this time but instead a variety of various teachings and followings. Baha'i faith - They desire a modern middle eastern religion that focuses on monotheism. Buddhism - They desire a national religion but do not care to worship a supreme deity. OR They desire to follow a religion that seeks freedom from greed, hatred and delusion, and enlightenment through realizing the Four Noble Truths and following the Eightfold Path. Christianity The majority of your people desire a religion that worships a divine savior. OR They desire a monotheistic system of beliefs and practices based on the Old Testament and the teachings of Jesus Christ as embodied in the New Testament. Confucianism - They desire a Far Eastern philosophical religion emphasizing love for humanity, high value given to learning and to devotion to family and ancestors, peace, justice, and respect for traditional culture. Hinduism - They believe in reincarnation and and desire a religion that supports this philosophy. Islam - They wish to worship a supreme being that they call Allah. Jainism - They are primarily non-materialistic and wish for a national religion that supports atheism and that teaches that every single living thing is an individual and eternal soul, called Jva, which is responsible for its own actions. Judaism - They desire a religion that follows divine scriptures OR They desire a religion that follows divine scriptures with ethical principles embodied chiefly in the Torah and in the Talmud. Norse - They wish to follow an ancient religion followed by Germanic tribes living in Nordic countries under pre-Christian period. Shinto - They believe that god is present in all walks of life, both in living and non-living things. Sikhism - They desire a belief system which blends Hindu traditions with Islamic monotheistic traditions, the belief in one God and the teachings of the Ten Gurus. Taoism - They do not believe in a single god but instead believe in oneness and freedom from personal desires. Voodoo - They believe in the conjuring of dead spirits and desire a national religion that supports this. There is a little more to government. As a general rule, use Capitalism to build infrastructure and pay bills, and then change to Democracy to collect taxes. DEFCON and Threat Level Whenever you are not collecting taxes, be in DEFCON 1 and Severe threat level- it does not help to be in DEFCON 5 or Low threat level while not collecting taxes, and it can be changed once a day. Being in high DEFCON and threat level are a deterrant to random raids, and will help protect you from a random rogue attack. If you have mastered these concepts, you should begin tech dealing and creating a trade circle.

I would like to thank g0d for inspiring me to post this thread after his rushing of the forums with a banner inscribed on which were these solemn letters 'I used to be somebody in the myg0t community.' I too used to be somebody around these parts. Where this is nothing to me, it is everything to you. I am happy now, however, with assuming the posture of a non-entity, of a misanthrope among misanthropes, of laughing god, of smiling black man standing in the darkness of the past. If you wish to treat UJB you must treat him as a memory not as a living thing that can be touched, licked, trolled. I am susceptible to every form of trolling. I despise trolls. My contempt for trolls surpasses my ability to put word and letter down in logical order. It throws me into a frenzy. - Here then eyes stand, and I address them this command: Look upon my works. Judge them if you wish - but this is a matter of absolute indifference to me - for I have only to look at he who passes the judgement to laugh my head off many times over at the praise or censure which he dishes out. These works are not to be judged, they judge you. The Age of Empires case This rage was my first attempt at expressing my contempt for raging CS and every other variety of First Person Shooter. It is also, otherwise, a perfect example of a collage made in a spirit of pure love for the world and its inhabitants. Here I have brought together my total love of humanity and alighted upon each with choice and ready made (originality is a vulgarity which I have never let into my designs) collections of insulting phrase, word, punctuation. With this I threw in a pinch of my personal if eccentric savoire-faire and the result is something like a Richard Wagner Opera flying over a sea of subhuman dross. http://forums.myg0t.com/showthread.php?t=23019 I will add more if there is any polite replies or sycophantic overtures made from my dear friends in the myg0t community.
