There's something about animal cruelty that I do not approve on. Maybe it's because they're so cute, but I feel that it's because most are helpless and cannot defend themselves as adequately as humans may against human violence.

It's a shame that these adults think they are giving these kids salvation from the profane. I agree that children do deserve some spiritual guidance and might need some religion in their lives, keeping a child isolated from any contact outside of their own religion or their religious community is not healthy.
