Im kind of a beginner at photoshop, so I want to know if someone could answer some of my questions about background textures. Where do you guys get the sort of map-like schematics you put in the back ground? When you extract someone from an image (in this case, a chick) how do you get her hair so it comes off with none of the background, and with grunge, where is the best way to start? Thx *EDIT* also, how do you put in small borders around the edges. And with the arrows, little squares etc. are those just brushes? AND finally, on average how many layers go into a particular project on average.

Recently, my speakers have stopped working... However I do not know if it is my speakers or my sound card. The reason for this is because when I unplug the speakers and put in headphones, or other speakers they have no sound either. I am thinking it might be my soundcard, is their anyway of detirmining/fixing this problem. Also, in kazaa when i go to play a song it doesn't play it... its almost like I clicked on it but didn't play (i did.. multiple times) its almost like its not registering that I can have sound... its nothing in my taskber little speaker thing, cause those are all full and off mute.. anyone have any suggestions?
