Figured that I'd post this here since its the only place it fits.

I got a new set of headphones today and they dont work.

I tested them on my brothers computer and they work. The Volume control doesnt recognize it as a playback device. Any ideas what the problem is?

Your sound card might be broken. You may want to try testing speakers or other headphones to see if they work. A good idea always is to update the drivers on the hardware, it can usually fix any software/driver related problems.

same thing happend to me, i later found out it was the jack i plugged them into, it is all loose and shitty, thats why they dont work
