Posted July 27, 200519 yr So I finally downloaded BF2, took me a couple of days through the torrent. But, what do I do now? I can get keys to play the game, but I am always being scanned by PB which does not allow me on any servers because of already used cd key. So how can I play the game then?
July 27, 200519 yr Hmm lets think... it wont let you play withou ta cd key, it validated the game to make sure it has a legit cd key, I wonder what you need to get it working...

Isn't it considered valid if it allowed me to install? no, see, when you deconstruct the game to make a keygen for it, you find the algorythm for accepting a cd key. when you go online, you dont look for the algorythm, you connect to the master cd key server and it tries to match yours up to one of the legit ones. see why it wouldnt be wise to put a list of thousands upon thousands of cd key's on a file on a game's disk? in some respects, it's just letting you know what you're missing out on :)

I bet you did what i did.. you took one of the serials from the nfo.. and thought that you could play on cracked servers..when you tried to connect it says that CD Key is already in use...you later figure out that some other tit has read the nfo and hasnt bothered his ass finding a remotly unique one..then you changed your CD key to a less commonly used one, and happy days, you can play on cracked severs.. then the patch fucks everything up

But usually it only works for the once with what seems to be the linux pengiun logo in the listing... It's really weird, any serial key only seems to work for one login, After I exit and try to get back on it does not let me... So in the end I am able to go on pretty good servers(32,64...) But there is only like 6 maps or so, it does not really appeal to me to actually buy a retail copy... Sort of like CSS, I played it a lot, had fun, was intresting, got banned by vac, missed the game, three days later I could careless and had more time on my hands... Just random typing^^^^^^
