I just downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS2, with the key gen and everything. When I try to run the program after I do install it I get the following error.

"An Error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application."

I have no fucking idea how to fix this shit. Ive reinstalled it like 5 times Deleted my old photoshop. And nothing it says to do on the Adobe site helped! Im hoping someone else had the same problem and can help me. Thanks!

[myg0t]pr4wn,

Going by the error stated, I can think of three possible scenario's:

# The installer failed to unpackage a required library either partly or not at all, or, since you downloaded it; More likely the library wasn't accompanied with the installer in the first place.

# The library Photoshop is refering to might of a system nature, and therefor, assumes you have the library already located on your system.

# The library has been manipulated by someone, possibly for the purpose of 'cracking' or some such childish art.

* Note: "Library" / "Application Library" refers to a file, a Dynamic Link Library (.DLL)

It would be much more helpfull if the error specified _which_ library caused the problem.

I would suggest you re-download Photoshop from a different source.

I use that one. the comments just say it doesnt come with a keygen, but thats easy to find.

Solution: Rename folders in the installation path.

Remove any extended characters (for example, Ö) in the path of the installed application that returned the error, or reinstall the application:

1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the application file. (By default, Adobe applications are installed to the Program Files\Adobe folder on the system hard disk.)

2. The path appears in the Address box in Explorer. Do one of the following:

-- Rename the folder that contains extended characters.

-- Remove the Adobe application by using the Add/Remove utility, and reinstall it to a location that doesn't include any extended characters in the path (for example, the root directory of the hard disk). For instructions on using the Add/Remove utility, see the documentation included with Windows.

Ugh....dont you get kicked from irc?

delete all instances of Photoshop from your registry, im sure you know how to do this..once all that app data and registry data is cleaned..make a fresh install..

i remmeber i had trouble with this, the way i fixed it was i downloaded the actual .iso so that i could burn it to disk rather than doing a trial unlocked to Full..

my laptop had dialup.. but i have same problem with my good comp

I think you might have removed a DLL file that was necessary before you installed Photoshop, if you knew the name of it you could redownload it but otherwise, donno..
Dude its easy, download the trial version from macromedia get a keygen, say you have phone activated it, and use the keygen for the activation code. Simple!
