Posted July 31, 200519 yr Well, I'm thinking of gettin a guitar soon and i was just wondering what a good guitar would be for a beginner. I'm a little short on cash so not too expensive k?
July 31, 200519 yr Look no further than a Yamaha Pacifica 012. If you're looking to spend a bit more try MIM Fender's. That's all really.
July 31, 200519 yr $194 for a musical insturment? fuck that im not in school. that could buy some nice ram
July 31, 200519 yr $194 for a musical insturment? fuck that im not in school. that could buy some nice ram lol......
July 31, 200519 yr Might not be for a beginner but if you have some money, you should look at some Les Paul's. Those are really cool looking imo.
July 31, 200519 yr washburn x10 starter pack. it'll last you long enough to know if you want to play guit. had it 6 months and now upgrading to a schecter scorpion with tribal fret inlays. comes with amp and carrying case, picks etc. but you need a good teacher.
July 31, 200519 yr http://www.americanmusical.com is somewhere that sells stuff reasonably, and things over... like.. $249 have the option to pay in 3-5 parts. also, Essex guitars/basses are better (in the vast majority of cases) than Squier and Mexi-strat guitars, and are cheaper. http://acapella.harmony-central.com for forums in this regard-- search for Essex or SX. also harmony-central.com has a reviews database to look up info about any possible purchases. i own jackson and ESP guitars, and a japanese yamaha bass.. i'm happy with all three, so i'm happy to suggest those brands. a jackson dinky-bodystyle (think pointier strat) with 2 humbucking pickups can be had for ~$300 and it's a very decent first guitar. and as far as teaching, you can teach yourself if you've got a good enough will to play-- find a song you like that's not too difficult sounding.. and goto http://mxtabs.net and look at tablature. i've been playing for ~13 years, and it's how i started out. if you need help with it, lemme know, i'm happy to help. good luck (and regarding BC Rich, don't get one unless you can get either an NJ or an American BC..the platinum and bronze shit is ass.)
July 31, 200519 yr Pretty much any cheap guitar from a reputable brand will be ok. The harder part is finding a good teacher, especially since when you're just starting out you probably won't be able to just how fucking bad some of them are. If you're really determined I think teaching yourself is the way to go. Read every guitar forum, every article, every book on guitar and music theory that you can get your hands on. If you really want to get somewhere with it you should have fun learning and practicing, if it seems like work to you you'll never get anywhere.
July 31, 200519 yr When i played the guitar seriouly i had a Squire by Fender, I suppose its a little expensive, but its a pretty good one. Anyway, you know youre going to buy not only the guitar, but a good amp, and maybe a mic if youre planning to sing. Since youre a beginner, you shuld try that kramer.
July 31, 200519 yr i got a squire bullett pack to start off from alpha music. was pretty cheap for amp and everything. actually very cheap. I never got into guitar I'll probably sell mine on ebay any day now...
July 31, 200519 yr Author Thanks for all the help but im goin for the washburn x10 and i do plan to teach myself
July 31, 200519 yr get whatever http://mirror1.spikedhumor.com/742/acousticplayer.wmv he plays that shit is awesome actually the thread just said guitars and i needed to post that somewhere.
July 31, 200519 yr Schecter's are fucking awsome. Im a bass player, and these basses are by far the best basses for the price range. Got my custom-4(NAT with gold hardware) for $400. Im thinking about getting a 5 string from them. Ive looked at other high end stuff, and this brand seems to me the same, or better. Just because its not made in the U.S.A. doesnt mean its not good... Im not familliar with the guitars, but im sure they are probably the same quality, and sound probably really good. I would really recomend this brand to any type of player.. beginer, or pro.

July 31, 200519 yr get an encore guitar first, then if ur actually willing to keep to it and not be one of those jumped up assholes who just wanna learn their favourite artist's difficult solos, try a marshall guitar. then id say go for a les paul guitar, they are better then fender
July 31, 200519 yr Bc rich Warlock and a marshall amp. dont recommend shitty guitars k? if you're going to play metal get a jackson or even ibanez. if you're a bitch then buy a fender
