Posted August 3, 200519 yr <h1><b>So, i was in an accident...</b><h3> I was surfing with Grace, Mikes sister. And i paddled at this nice set wave, well its a 5'10'' i ride so i have balance issues currently, i forgot there was a sand bar right there and i was to far forward, the nose pitched down and got lodged into the sandbed, i rolled with the wave and the fin cut 1 in deep into my leg. the gash is 1 and 1/2 inches long and a half inch wide. So i roll over and i dont feel anything, i just notice the water around me getting clouded with blood. So i look down and blood is literally streaming from my wound, as i took first aid i knew i had to stop the bleeding so i took the boardshorts i was wearing and pulled it as tight against this gash as possible and walked to shore, You could see the muscle tendons, and fibers, and the nerve endings. Luckly the nerves were severed and i felt nothing, i flaged a lifeguard down and she came and called the truck of guards, i was bandaged and placed on a truck and taken to my mom. I very nearly had an asthma attack while being bandaged and almost passed out from dehydration. I was given to my mom at the Seagate beach access and taken to the ER. There Mike, Landis, Heather, and Kippy showed up to see me before my operation (if you call stiches operation.) so i now have 19 stiches, 15 on top and 4 internal stitches, and i cant surf for 2 weeks, or more. No water at all, im restricted to crutchs, and i have been prescribed Hydro Codine for the pain. I will be on anti biotics so i feel like shit, and high as fuu from the pills, fun. I took some pictures, but i cant remove hte bandage for 24/hours. pictures of the actual stiched wound will be shown then.
