I havent done this before. Heres the thing, I have two 700 MB .avi files that Ive downloaded.

1: I need to merge them together. (Since its CD1 and CD2)

2: I need to burn the file to a DVD (4.7 GB). The DVD has to work in normal DVD players.

How exactly do I do this? Wich programs do I need (except sp 0rkeh)?

I've not had a lot of experence doing this but....

Nero's latest suite which came with my burner does this. It can take pretty much any movie format and burn it to a DVD so you can pop it into a DVD player and it plays. It also allows you to create menus and shit so if you want put multiple movies or shows you can have a menu at the start to select them from.

I've only used this so far, but I'm not someone who downloads movies, so I'm sure there is even better software then this.

Buy *cough* download *cough* NeroVision, drop the AVIs in, change the quality settings at the bottom so its under 4.4GB, create a cheap menu, change the burn destination to a folder, go to sleep, wake up, burn the folder, play movie.
yea i just bought a dvd burner and nero has this option: Burn dvd disc or something.. that should work.
I use a program called Roxio Easy media Creator you can find it on most torrent sites. Its pretty easy to use, and you can build the dvd menu, divide the movie in chapters, encode in every area. its pretty good.
