PvP mainly means RPG player vs player combat. Players in China take it extremely seriously and when one dies they might pull a gun over someone because they died. Diablo 2 contributed to over 10 deaths I think in China. There were a few in North America but not that many. I only posted this because China is hated by many people, including myself, hoping this adds more hate to them =P
Hah, and people say China will become the next superpower...

Srsly.

This reminds me of when most of Asia restricted access to servers in Korea because they were afraid that their kids were playing too much Ragnarok....

It also reminds me of something even more gay and retarted- Australia banning the new Leisure Suit Larry.

Hahahahaha those Eastern countries are famed for their MMORPG addictions, and now PvP is banned those mother fuckers can finally get a real hobby, or lifestyle

AHAHAHAHA I just now thought of how they crank out MMORPGs like they crank out children, damn I feel sorry for them.

That sucks for people in china, they can go play DDR while i play pvp out of spite :O I wonder if Counter-Strike is released there.. You cant pvp in a third person game in a fantasy world involving extremly unrealistic elements, but you can kill each other in a realistic first person shooter.. eh?

about china becoming a superpower.

their economy is 1/16 ours if you take the optomistic estimate. at a growth rate of 14% per year in 2050 they'd be about 5/8 but that rate of economic growth for that period of time is unheard of. and that's the optomistic estimate.

thanks to ben stein for expanding my mind

this is gonna go global soon... bugger

They didn't ban PVP.

Next time read the article before posting. They only banned it for kids under the age of 18.

"effective immediately, that ban minors under age 18 from playing online games that allow Player Killing, or PK. That means the PVP servers of WoW, with their epic conflicts between Alliance and Horde factions, are now off-limits for younger players. "

Scarface']Don't they still do the Mongolian raids?

ROfl.. I laughed in real life.. it was so unexpected...
