Games I wish to play: farcry battlefield 2 hl2 battlefront 2 My current card is Radeon 9550, I figured this would be a good upgrade. But checking other canadian sites I cant find a cheaper deal with a 6600gt equal that has 256mb as well. http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20040921/ati_x700-08.html#aquamark_3 Card performs like a 6600gt in most games, so go by that.

August 14, 200519 yr EDIT: Prices are Canadian. Is everyone on this site but me Canadian? But anyways, the 6600GT and X700 are indeed similar though the more advanced (or rather more pricy) versions of the X700 such as the X700 Pro and XT (never seen an X700 XT though) perform somewhat better than the 6600GT. Also, one must keep in mind the fact that nVidia's drivers are somewhat better for Windows and a lot better for Linux - yes I know that BF2 and almost all other fun games don't run on Linux - though the quality of ATI's drivers has increased substantially over time.
