September 5, 200519 yr http://www.textfiles.com/virus/ http://vx.netlux.org/lib/static/vdat/tutorial.htm some are a bit old, but can still do some serious damage.
October 5, 200519 yr Does alot of things. Won't let you run firefox, winamp or regedit (registry editor), disbales the task manager, puts in another key that won't let you use regedit, copies itself to your system folder, puts a key in so it runs every time on startup, which causes a message box saying: "isn't windows fun?" to pop up and not close down, takes out your log out buttons, takes out your shutdown menu, won't let you access the control panel, changes your desktop to the windows logo, and won't let you change it back... I think that's about it. :) wont let you use internet explorer either i dont think. though i know nothing about programming
October 5, 200519 yr i would teach myself C++ but im taking a free course on it so i rather wait and learn it at school

October 27, 200519 yr Use MS VC++, it's very nice, used Dev before, it was pretty hard to convert to VS after that, but it was all worth it :)
November 1, 200519 yr Author Use MS VC++, it's very nice, used Dev before, it was pretty hard to convert to VS after that, but it was all worth it :) Well what are the advantages?
November 2, 200519 yr Well what are the advantages? 1) The binaries are becomes smaller for once. 2) And it gives you a better overview of your project, you can look at all the resources. 3) If you have MSDN for it you get a great help while coding. And some other features.. I'm still discovering it ;p
November 2, 200519 yr Author 1) The binaries are becomes smaller for once. 2) And it gives you a better overview of your project, you can look at all the resources. 3) If you have MSDN for it you get a great help while coding. And some other features.. I'm still discovering it ;p Ok, I've found my reason... The DirectX SDK doesn't function with Dev-Cpp. The Dev-Cpp version of it was taken down due to legal issues (FUCKING MICROSOFT AND THEIR FUCKING NON-OPENSOURCE SHIT). So anyway, I'll just *buy* a copy of MSVC++.
November 2, 200519 yr Author Actually, it's not, lawl. It's actually hard to find. I did a torrent search and a limrewire search and nothing.
November 5, 200519 yr Author googled it? rifk Tried Couldn't find it. I foudn something better anyway. I can convert the libraries to .a with a MinGW utility, so it doesn't matter anyway.
November 10, 200519 yr Correct definition of a computer virus: A computer virus is a program that reproduces its own code by attaching itself to other programs in such a way that the virus code is executed when the infected program is executed. A trojan: A program that appears desirable but actually contains something harmful. correct also, a worm is self spreading
