August 13, 200519 yr I'd suggest getting away from fast food joints. Those places are shitty. You don't get paid enough for what you do. Try department stores, malls, etc. don't to wal-mart, as they suck worse than fast food places. That's the only advice I can give.

August 13, 200519 yr Union is better than non-union, because if you don't have a union, there's nothing stopping your managers from monopolizing your schedule to the point where you're practically a slave. Believe me, union dues may be a pain in the ass, but it's worth it. I'm in groceries right now as a temporary thing before I get an internship for my major. If you go into groceries, don't plan on it for the long term. If you're in college, try getting a job at your school, they prolly pay more than most other jobs, starting salary-wise. If not, just make sure to stay away from fast food chains, as they're complete shit.
