Get tattoos? I know a shitload of bikers, ex-cons, cops, military boys, and other "manly men" who'd like to argue that. Secondly, "only girls should have a tat on the small of their back"...your opinion...but I know of at least one SoS member who'd flat kill you for saying that..the only ink he has is his club colors/mascot...across the small of his back... Thirdly, though I don't expect you to know anything about buddhist tantric ideology, so I'm not suprised you know nothing baout the symbolism involved...suffice it to say, the color, kanji, and location for this tat was chosen carefully...if you're really interested, look up "kundalini" in any tantric text...from tantric yoga, to "the warior's soul" (Sun Tzu)...believe me, if anyone who knows what those symbols literally mean sees the artwork, they'll understand WHY they are there, too...and the choice of color. Fourth, this isn't the only ink I have, by a long shot..this is my 17th tat...not counting a piece I had covered up by the wristband...it won't be the only ink on my back...within the next 5 to 6 years, my whole back will be inked from the waist to the shoulder...so regardless of what you think of "small of the back" tattoos on men, it's part of an ongoing project, and, as such, won't remain aa "small of the back" tat, but will be part of a whole back piece. Fifth...how much ink you got to show off? None? I thought so...go back to drawing on yourself in black marker during class, and showing off your "cool tattos" in the lunchroom :) Sixth, if I'm wrong and you DO have ink (probably a fairy on your shoulderblade or a butterfly on your ankle...how else would you be qualified as an "expert" in what a "faggy" tattoo is?)...how much ink do you have that is ALREADY planned out as part of a "mural" covering a full area of body (half sleeve, sleeve, back piece, chest/torso, leg piece...anything more than a "single tat")? None? Then you ain't got room to talk, since you've never sat under a needle for several hours on purpose, starting a project you KNOW will ultimately require you go through this same sensation for close to 1000 hours, total...at about $100 an hour minimal cost in cash. Seventh...if you read the post, you know myself and my wife got tats basically identical...aside from showing which of us is which "part" of the word...kinda hard for me to go into a closet when there IS no closet, isn't it? December 9, 200321 yr Author hurt...the left arm (medievil) isn't anything to look at, since so far, it's individual pieces laid out waiting for me to add a few more, and start the "tie-in" background.... so far, it's a cross with roses (a VERY early Welsh adaptation of the crucifix), a castle, a heraldic gryphon, a scottish oruborus (world snake..they combine the "yin/yang" symbol with the "circle of existance" symbol...two serpents consuming eachother's tails, in a knot), a unicorn rampant (ok, I was stoned out of my mind when I got that one...but I figured I could live with it, when done), and a wizard-and-tower... when completed, that arm will basically hold symbols related to the myths of King Arthur and Robin Hood, as well as some of the Celtic Druid mythology, all tied together with celtic knotwork over a mostly green background...but it's not going to look like anything other than a bunch of tattoos grouped together until I'm close enough to done to start doing the knotwork. if you'd still like to see them, as "messy" as they currently are, I'll PM you pics.

December 9, 200321 yr Author werx...there's some pretty signifigant bone keeping me from getting one on my spinal cord :) but if you didn't notice, that one went right over the lumbar vertebrae...was buzzing on bone for most of it :) and that one was NOTHING compared to the wrist piece...you have any idea how little skin there is over the knob of your wrist?...I swear the ink was getting nailed into bone for most of THAT piece...and where the needles weren't hitting bone, they were going right over shallow tendons...couldn't use the hand right for about three days, because the tendons were sore.
