August 17, 200519 yr IMO laptops are actually better for gaming. I game off of my laptop. It's easy to move, clean, take apart. I actually play better on it. Plus the flatter keys i like better as opposed to the bulky ones on a regular keyboard =D. August 18, 200519 yr I was thinking about getting this laptop for a long time. I could of gotten alienware but thoes are even more expencive. I went over to best buy to look at them up close. The colors are actually nice ( i like how its mostly black) its got media card readers and its wide screen. Kinda thick and heavy too. In the end i didnt buy it since 1,500 dollars can pay for alot more important things than a laptop :puke:
August 18, 200519 yr thats one pimped rig of a laptop, if you don't mind me askin how much did that set you back? 6 months ago it was $2,600. :: Edit :: Costs the same amount still. However 6 months ago it had the best video card on the market in it. Now you can drop 6800 ultras in them. I want a 6800 ultra in mine =(. I think the next computer I buy is going to be an SLi unit, sometime in the next few years. Dual core processors too, I hate not being able to run more than 1-2 games at once =D. Oh and it will be a desktop too probobly.

Also dell just makes really good machines over all I know many people who use them and have no problems my sister just got a laptop from there and the screen is amazing and is fast so there's my 2cent.

August 19, 200519 yr HAHAHAHAHA this is a joke right? Actually the Inspiron XPS Gen 2 is quite good since they are putting 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 6800 Ultras in them. However, making one with decent memory and hd space is going to be as much as an alienware at least, plus unlike the alienware ones, they put a mobile processor in these making them shitty in my opinion(but they do get longer battery life, unlike mine). Something I noticed, Dell and Alienware's sites are almost identical. Dell also will give you a free printer if you buy a Inspiron XPS Gen 2, but won't give you the cable to connect to the computer with =). You have to buy that for $25.
August 21, 200519 yr Laptops like that suck ass. First of all, the gfx card only has 128 mb of onboard ram, which is the bare minimum for the lowest settings on games like hl2 and bf2. Second of all, you might as well get another rig because the battery on that thing wont last longer than 20 or 30 minutes.
