Posted August 19, 200519 yr I am VERY new to overclocking. I have had this card for awhile and frankly it's a piece of crap. Playing Guildwars on low is just plain wrong. Not only that, the damn thing can't handle cutscenes when it show's the landcape. The thing chugs like no tommorrow. Anyways, I'm gonna buy a new card in a few months, and I thought since this crap is gonna go to the garbage soon, I might aswell try to OC it. Is it possible with this card? Can anyone tell me exactly how to do it? I got that rivatuner, but I'm not exactly sure how much I can OC it. How much can I move the slider for the memory and the core clock? Is it possible too move it TOO much and break it? Anyhelp would be great, thanks.
August 19, 200519 yr Try starting with a 75% increase and slowly move up from there, that way you wont fry it
August 19, 200519 yr here's a way to overclock it... Take the card out of your pc, go to the local retailer and buy a new graph card! Seriously you can't do shit nowadays with those things... go look for a cheap ati radeon 9600 or something or a geforce fx 5200/5500

By the sounds of it your whole computer is old, buy a decent new one for cheap.
August 22, 200519 yr Yeah look for a 9600, I have one and it works great for Source and everything. In source on medium-high settings I get 70+ fps. But anyways, you can overclock any video card I think, even if you overclock yours it won't matter too much since it still has only 64mb...
August 22, 200519 yr Why the fuck would u want to overclock that piece of shit anyway. If you must, Double ur clock speeds and memory speeds and it should improve. Also, unscrew the fan on the card and take it off. It just slows it down. Reapermatic
August 25, 200519 yr Hell even a ATI radeon 9200 would be better thats what im using and im getting 50+ fps source expept on aztec lol and it was only erm 50 dollars on newegg. Since I didnt buy my comp I didnt get the choice of a AGP slot or PCI express so im stuck with PCI bus rofl :bj: :bj: :bj: :bj:
