Posted August 22, 200519 yr I'm trying to disassemble a game (The Sims) so that I can freeze their mood bars. I am using W32Dasm and when I go to look for where the mood bars should be (in the String Data References) it doesn't list them. It should say something like Hunger Decrement Ratio, Friendship Threshold, etc. Instead, it only says the following: ((((( %c: %s:%s %s\%s . .. .txt2 ; \ \*.* \\.\%s 00000001.TMP C C-Dilla C-Dilla C-DILLA INTERACTIVE K/ ladybird p PATH PDT PST R8 S SafeDisc SAFEDISC_ERROR_%08lx Secdrv V@ W& Why doesn't it say what it should? Thanks.
August 23, 200519 yr I've tried hacking The Sims, and it's a bitch. I hacked the shit out of some of the earlier sim packages, but this one is tough. They even show a message at the bottom of the screen during the load, "Eliminating chicanery". It makes me wonder what do they do to check for hacks(prolly checksum the shit outta every file). There are a 'million' free downloads that give your characters health, happiness, money, all kinds of stuff. What's the reason you want to do this? Do you know about the free d/l hacks? Look for these... KE-Dragons.zip KE-Mushroom2.0.zip KE-Santa.zip KE-Urn.zip Hacking the latest sims package is too much like 'work', especially if they have cheats you can d/l for free. Make sure you don't get a virus though...
August 23, 200519 yr Author Alright, thanks. I just wanted a trainer that froze my social bar and that's all, but I couldn't find one, so I tried doing it myself. Thanks for the links.
