August 24, 200519 yr if youre actually interested in learning about what seperates techno, trance, house, breaks, hardcore, drum and bass, etc etc etc go here http://www.di.fm/edmguide/ very very good guide with sound examples and stuff. my quick explanations techno: pretty much nothing like what people who say "i hate techno" thinks. techno is very mechanical, fast, bassy, reminds me of like a automobile factory. (ie - detroit techno) trance: very melodic. this is what people think of who call it all 'techno'. uplifting and cheesy strings and melodies, way way over the top synth riffs, often gay female singing. sucks a lot house: grew out of disco, generally a more organic feel with 'actual' instruments, guitars, basses, horns, sometimes some 'soul' singers in it. sometimes has latin or funky vibes. drum and bass: broken beat, very fast, heavy basslines. usually for the kids who think they are too cool to go to 'raves' anymore.

August 30, 200519 yr I found an awesome site, http://www.houseurbody.com, with a shitload of MP3's to download, each one was about an hour or more of DJ mix session from one or two DJ's sharing the set. 200-300MB each. They used the website to showcase their skills to the public in hope ofgetting more people to their concerts or getting a record deal, but the site wen down a week or two ago. Cocksuckers. I got my best mix ever from there, now it's gone. I played that mix at a LAN party a few weeks back and told everyone I had it shared, 32 out of 35 people downloaded it within 10 minutes. It fucking owns~!
