The way it is is my dads comp has the net connection and I get my net through his comp. However, I do not know how to get mine to form a LAN with his. Once I have that I'm sorted. Any help, greatly appreciated. It has a 1394 connection that's bridged and firewalled. (My comp) and his has the same and a LAN (With nothing... or so it seems) and the internet.
