Posted September 2, 200519 yr Whenever I launch a game that needs the cd on my new comp, it takes forever to load. The disc drive doesn't do anything for like 4 minutes and then it suddenly loads the game. I'm wondering if there is a setting that needs to be changed or if the drive is defective, but it doesn't have any problems loading anything else. Like when I install the game for the first time, when I put the cd in it loads just fine and installs fine, but whenever I try to launch it takes forever. This happens with any game requiring a cd to run. Any help is much appreciated.
