i hate both these religions. i hate all religions. religions are factor #1 in war causing. today ppl want to ban games for supposedly causing violence among children/teenagers. HOW ABOUT BANNING EVERY RELIGIOUS BOOK ON THIS PLANET!? I think it would have a much greater effect.

It's interesting, because if God didn't make us, then how did we start? Of course, we have the whole evolution thing, which is plausoble (poor spelling <3), but life has to start off somewhere...did God put the periodical soup for us to evolve into us? Maybe, but I need more evidence than some hypocritical book.

We KNOW there was life before humans, the dinosaurs, so where did they come from? They evolved from sea creatures. And where did they come from? they evolved from amoeba and bacteria. And where did they come from? Well, they haven't figured that out yet, and this is what the religious proudly point to as the proof that god exists and made life.

 

But there's still one question remaining, which no religion can answer (with a shred of common sense or believability).

 

WHERE DID GOD COME FROM???

 

WHO MADE HIM?

 

Think about it with a clear mind for just 10 seconds, and you'll see what I'm getting at.

If God created humanity in his image, who the fuck created God?? Where is he? How did he get here? Why? When?

 

Science has given us millions of answers to life's questions, but religion just says "God works in mysterious ways" (a term made up and written not by God by by a person over 2000 years ago who couldn't think of an answer).

 

Believe in what you like, but if you are so narrow-minded as to believe in a 2000+ year old fairytale with no proof or logic behind it, then don't blame other cultures for believing their religions too. And don't blame the atheists for not believing.

 

We don't want to be saved by you. We are already saved by discovering and understanding evolution.

i totally fuckin agree with u and im a american........i believe in evolutionary lineage...one reason cus.....the bible is just a big story book full of peoples beliefs over thousands of years and theories........remember there was a day that mankind thought the planet was flat and that you could fall off of it.....LOL.......and theres sooo much proof that we are just another step of evolution taking place.......look at the whale for example......its used to be a land predator right after the jurasic period and looked like a hairy ass alligator........people say that the porpoise will be a land animal once again in the future...so wtf how am i supposed to believe in God and how he created the universe and life in like 12 days???? :shrug:

ok then at what point did we get souls, because humans have evolved from apes over millions of years. So do apes have souls? I find it hard to believe that one day ape became man and man magically had a soul.

what if it never did start ? common sense doesnt apply when you talk about evolution

 

what if there was another universe before the bigbang.

 

what if god was created by humans because they cannot accept to not know everything.

 

what if faith is in fact for people who want to simplify their lives following other people's rules, because they don't understand it fully, or cannot handle it otherwise.

 

the only difference we have with other human beings, is the fact that we can deny the nature, we don't have to follow our instincts, we make our own rules, choose to follow them or not.

because of that, we are always wondering if what we are doing is right, unlike other animals who just follow the nature laws

being so much free can sometimes lead people to madness, others just try to find strength in faith, knowing that an all powerful being will take care of you in the afterlife can be reassuring.

 

SO ANYWAY, i dont believe in god, but i don't argue that much with people who do

We have proof that man evolved from other species, who evolved from other species , who evolved from ..... you get the point.

 

Now if you go back through all that evolution, you end up at the amoebas and plant life, almost guaranteed to have begun in the oceans, where they had moisture, minerals, heat from underground volcanoes, light from the sun filtering through etc....

 

Is that what god looks like?

And did he create everything else on the planet? In the universes?

 

If so, how come the idea of god only came about with human beings, who've only been around a few hundred thousand years?

 

Why don't animals go to church?

Why didn't the dinosaurs believe in god and build crosses?

 

Why are humans the only creatures in the history of the planet who have shown any indication of religion in any form?

 

Because humans have the ability to imagine.
