First, get Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Then, open up your volume control by right-clicking the little speaker icon by your clock:

or, going to: Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Audio Tab>Volume

Then, in the "Master Volume" window, go to Options>Properties then mark the bubble for "Recording" and make sure the check box for "Stereo Mix" is checked then hit ok.

Next, now that you have the "Recording Control" window open, check the box under "Stereo Mix" And make sure the volume isnt really high. What this does, is set your computers recording in-put to whatever is playing out of your sound card. To go back to Microphone recording, check the box for "Microphone".

Now just record like you would normall with Audacity.

But, if you want to record yourself, AND whats coming out of your sound-card at the same time, open up the "Master Volume" window again, and Un-check the "Mute" box under Microphone and adjust the volume as you need. This will make your microphone play through your speakers. Just check the box for "Mute" again to stop it from doing this
