September 7, 200519 yr http://atomchip.com/_wsn/page4.html 6.8 ghz proc 1 TB of quantum ram 2 TB of quantum storage due out in april... real i tink, but the 1tb in ram is a bit unneccessary
September 7, 200519 yr Fake. Why would an awesome computer be put on a website that looks like it's been created by a 12 year old who's just learnt HTML?
September 7, 200519 yr Could be either. The technology for this has been around for a very long time. Manufacturers will make more money if they release new processors slowly etc. If this is real then I applaud them for making this available. I couldn't be arsed to read it because it was gay but I'm assuming that it will cost a fair amount.

September 7, 200519 yr Haha a terabyte, think how much pron could get on there.. haha ninja edit, and its 250 dvds/ tb
September 7, 200519 yr not to mention the technology doesn't even exist It does exist. Of this, I assure you. I know someone who works with military computers an such...the real powerful ones and they can run at that sort of speed no problems. EDIT: Sorry, just had a closer look at the web page. Though processors are around that can run at that speed, those images are clearly photoshopped. Especially the Control Panel -> System image and the close up of the processor with the cover on. Don't get your hopes up, this won't be released.
September 7, 200519 yr You could get a pc that fast, but they're used by scientist, about as big or bigger than a man and are dipped in some sort of acid for cooling. And we all know the legacy of heat problems with laptops don't we?

Especially the Control Panel -> System image and the close up of the processor with the cover on. Don't get your hopes up, this won't be released. You don't even need photoshop. I've done this with MSPaint, to scale up what crappy graphics card I had. They did such a nice job with their shitty company logo, too.
September 7, 200519 yr I was using photoshopped as a term for editing a digital image is all. I don't care how they did it. The writing on the processor and the ram and the System menu is clearly fake, ergo, the computer is fake. I've been fiddling with images long enough now to tell when something has been messed with, especially when it was done that poorly. EDIT: Don't take my sig as proof of how good my photoshop skills are. I'vedone better and this one only took about 15 minutes. I have too much of a life to spend hours and even days on sigs like I used to.

No single processor is that fast, but it is more the quantum aspect of it i was referring to, quantum computing is as yet nowhere near that level, it was only within the last year or two that bits could even be stored in light, never mind terrabytes or whatever
September 7, 200519 yr That comp is clearly fake. A processor that fast with no adequate fan and airspace? It would overheat in less than 10 seconds.
September 7, 200519 yr http://atomchip.com/_wsn/page4.html 6.8 ghz proc 1 TB of quantum ram 2 TB of quantum storage due out in april... http://youlose.ytmnd.com/
September 7, 200519 yr http://youlose.ytmnd.com/ Ha, that made me rifk, and i'ts so fake, I'm sure they can fit 1TB of ram in that little tiny space.
September 7, 200519 yr Look at the hex code for the images, they aren't photoshopped. edit, and for the morons out there, JFIF is the same as JPEG.
September 7, 200519 yr Author how exactly does everyone know it's fake, it's been slashdotted, inquirered, and gizmododed, and those sources aren't known for their unreliability k?
September 8, 200519 yr isn't this technically a quantum computer which we don't even have the technology to build yet?
September 8, 200519 yr http://atomchip.com/_wsn/page4.html 6.8 ghz proc 1 TB of quantum ram 2 TB of quantum storage due out in april... OTHER than the fact that your an idoit.... QUANTUM AND PENTIUM HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF LETTER DUMB FUCK, Can we say photoshop ???
September 8, 200519 yr i cant believe no one mentioned the most important aspect.... ITS FUCKING UGLY AS SIN
September 8, 200519 yr Think, a laptop that powerful? a laptop ? Maybe if it was a desktop computer, then it could be true, but a laptop... I'm gonna have to go with the majority here, FAKE.
