September 12, 200519 yr No, it definitly isn't. The whole point of music is self expression, creating art, not making money like MTV, radio, mallcore shit. Also, Metallica, Guns N' Roses Etc... have some good riffs but so do many Thrash metal bands such as Megadeth, Exodus, Slayer, Nuclear Assault and many power such as Maiden, Helloween, Primal Fear etc... and melodic metal bands such as Kalmah, Wintersun, At the Gates, God Dethroned etc.... Most of the shit you hear today sucks because their music is tuned down to appeal to more of a mainstream audience. .
