Hello, I was wondering. My Bro found a way to get around my password to my computer, how the hell is he doing it? He does not know it, I am sure of that beacuse I will type random letters and nubers and when I go back to my computer I will have no password.... lol. Can anyone tell me how he does this, Thanks.
he probably got one of those XP password recovery boot programs and put it onto a USB memory stick card so he can crack open your OS.
if your bro has an account on the computer you have an accout or the guest account is turned on he could be using a password revealer which reveals the haches for the passwords that you login with and then decodes them into what the password is whether it is letters or numbers. If you want to do the same thing to him send me a private message and I will give you the program. If you wnat him to stop doing this only have one account on your computer. If you only have one account then he might be hacking into your open ports through telnet. If this is so get a firewall.

Not possible in XP fggt, youll still have to give a pass

Wrong, there is an account called Admin when you boot up in "safe mode" no password is needed.
when you format your computer for xp you can decide whether or not to have a password for admin

not all computers have this. for example there is only one account on my pc so even if you start up safe mode its gonna ask for the pw of my account. it could however be true for your compy, hitman123, or it could be my prediction or r00ts prediction.

In Safe Mode, the admin account that becomes visible on the login screen always had my initial user account's password. o_O (Normally didn't use the GUI login though)

I have a disc with http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html on it. I've had to use it countless time on idiotic relatives PCs. -.-

Takes about 2 minutes to do once you've done it a few times.

You could throw a password onto your bios setup, and set the hdd-0 (or whatever you use) to be your first boot device, but then your brother would probably google "reset bios password" and open up your case. :p

I suggest pummeling the crap out of him.

I tried out the F8 in the start and it worked, if I know him he likes to make it easy so he did it that way. I got that little problem fixed and got on his computer and lets say... he lost some stuff on his computer ^^.
