Posted September 11, 200519 yr A few of us n0n-g0ts have been messing with this new third party HL2 game, so I figured I'll pop in with this mini-tut on raging so you don't have to waste as much time trying to figure out what pisses people off the most. Rule #1 Everyone hates myg0t. If you instantly want to piss off every person in the server, pop on the good ol' [myg0t] tag, and you will be swarmed with compliments. Rule #2 FF on/off? This rule works two ways. If you find the rare 4-5 Friendly Fire enabled servers, then TKing is a must. I suggest using a HEAVY soldier with either Mini-gun, or Rockets as your weapon. You will see that soon into your TK spree several other people will start to TK each other, so don't forget to change your name to match other people to start a war. Since you can easily be killed, obviously door blocking is not your best bet for rage here. FF disabled servers, however, are another story all together. Feel free to doorblock as many people as you can until the enemy comes to obliterate all of you. Rule #3 ZOMG 1337 H4XX0R!!11 Not hacking in the way you are used to, although I'm sure that would build up some steady rage. When I say "hacking", I'm talking about the netplugs all around the maps. In these you can open doors, control turrets, and generally make life difficult for the enemy. Why do that when you can use it to do the same to your team? Punks - They have to gain access to the Corps doors, turrets, spawns. But you can also use these ports to deny access to your team as well. My favorite thing to do on this map is bring down the Core shield, then when my team is inside bring it back online to kill them all. Mega rage. :) Corps - As a Corps hacker, you want to encrypt and protect all the online access points for the same thing the Punks want to break into. The simple way to gain rage is to open the doors for them. You can turn off most of your security features such as shields and doorlocks thus letting the enemy walk right in. Either - The best way to generate random rage is to take up the plug in's and do absolutely nothing. Everyone wants to be the hacker, and they can see what you are doing as long as they are watching behind you as they wait. When they see you have no intention of doing anything worthwhile, they get rather upset. Rule #4 n00bs This game is new, so don't be afraid to ask the best question ever. "Why is there only one map?" This instantly pisses off the people that spend hours on this game because they've answered that question 100 times. Rule #5 Sprays You can upload any JPEG file for a spray, instead of all that old 1.6 .wad crap. pr0n sprays for teh win! This can be done in options right under your name! Rule #6 Radio/Mic/Say Spamming This game allows for the same annoyances as Counter-Strike. They even have Global radio commands that both teams can hear. I shouldn't have to explain this any further if you have raged before. As for playing music over the mic, I havn't tried HLSS on this yet. DJLindley was getting some good rage with music on the mic, but most of the people playing are steamfans that know how to mute. Might want to wait on some n00bs to start playing before using music to rage. I hope this accelerates the learning process, and gets some of you n0n-players involved. There is some good rage to be had here, it's just hard to get to. :drama: -Edit I'll keep updating this as long as I find more things with this game.

I just blocked doors cuz I had no idea what to do :( Once you gain entry to a netplug, it is pretty much self explanitory. Only one person can be logged in at a time, so usually it's already got someone on it. Remember that in a FF server, tossing an EMP or Frag nade will pull them offline. People hate that especially if they are breaking encryption or de-iceing a door. :drama:

September 11, 200519 yr Th internode servers auto kick/ban anyone with "myg0t" in their name. I did some good rages on dystopia earlier. I took some screenshots and I'll post them soon.

Spawn TK can only get you so much. The best way to teamkill is to actually not do it in spawn, but wait until someone is in the Netplug about to unlock something for your team. :naughty:
