Evo 8: oppostite of that. Not quite as fast as the STI (Evo: 278 HP Vs. STI's 300 hp), but tears up corners in comparison. Evo 8 rally edition: Lost wing and a lot of creature comforts to make it lighter and in turn faster. Evo MR (not sure if it's still evo 8... Not as well versed as I used to be): Greater than Evo 8 because of lower center of balance, lighter weight. Not sure if lighter than Rvo rally. I say evo's are overall better than WRX's... But I'd be happy with either. Then again, the Evo's had the same engine in it since it's beginnings back in... 92 I want to say. My car's not special at all... 97 Saturn SC2 Probably around 110 horse now, jack shit for torque (like all 4-bangers.) Replaced: AM/FM tape deck to Pioneer jkbvu72390ghvasyg or whatever head unit... I needed my CD's... Brakes: old, ground into rotors... expensive... Radiator: it cracked where the line leads to the Tranny. Leaked a lot of fluid... Transmission rebuild: Yep... I destroyed it somehow. One day it was leaking, the next it was bleeding. By now, There's been more money put into the car than what was paid for the car... The only thing left to replace is the engine (I hope not...) It's not a fast car, but it's decently quick... If you want me to distinguish between the two terms as I do, let me know. I just wish it was manual...

September 14, 200519 yr i have two cars: a honda "rivic" (stole the R off of a Accord and put it on my civic) and i just started a full rebuild of a chevelle. No pics as of yet im trying to save money to buy a digital camera. I use the honda just bc its the only car i have that runs and bc it gets decent mileage and cost about 23.00 to fill up. Cost my dad 98.00 to fill his work truck up. :|

Other than the fact that i have extensive knowledge about motors and work as a mechinical engineer, i would like to tell you that you are wrong about the motor being the 'same'. I own a 91 turbo, and not only is the turbo diffrent between 90-94, 94-98 eclipses, but the EVO is diffrent from the 90 versions like you claim. I mean shit the fucking oil lines for the turbo turbine bearing is switched around from the 90-94 versions. Um, if you dont own one of these cars or something in thier family, you have no right to talk. FYI, today i was following one of those Subaru STI's (gold wheels and wing etc) and my 91 talon with 180,000+ miles on it was keeping up with that piece of shit. I rebuilt alot of stuff back to stock. The modifications i have are a Exposed air intake, no cataltic converter, manual boost controller, waste gate dumps back into exposed air intake, the air filter is but of course K&N. I also rebuilt the turbo replaced the exhaust turbine housing with an after markte steel instead of nodular iron, it also has a bigger waste gate :) flap to reduce boost creep. NEVER BUY A SUBARU. Just a warning about the AWD turbo EVO, it is a specialty preformance oriented car. So usualy an enthusiest would own such a car, it is not the "fastest 1/4 mile" and it is not a ferri or ford 500 GT, or dare i say it "Turbo toyota supra". Mitsubishi put 10,000 mile Soft tires on the car for added street preformance. I personally plan on buying it, and driving it in bad weather, in the salt and snow, in the dirt. Basicly driving it into the ground, wear items such as the clutch, brake pads etc I will replace in my garage.... everything else will be warnteed for a while :) 100,000 mile/10 year powertrain, bumper to bumer for like i would guess 50,000 miles ??? I will basicly ruin the car so much so that, no ***et ass kid can have it after i am done with it.
