I'm in the market for a new hard-drive-based MP3 player that is NOT an Apple product. I need it to hold around 800-1000 2.5-8MB MP3 files.

Suggestions?

***Edit: Bad coding***

Looks pretty cool. what "minimal issues"?

once in a while (not recently) you get on startup a chunk of the screen whited out or in the middle of a song it'll stop. turn it off and on and it's all set. plus there's driver updates from their sit ewhich i haven't gotten any of yet which may fix that issue.
good deal. and no prob.....if you ever need help picking out a guitar i'm open too....just ask swazy

Yea, that was a pretty good deal. I'm sure you could find a cheaper used one out on the internet somewhere though.

Now i have the iPod mini, which is also a piece of shit, but its still working.

Drop it on the ground once and see if it still works.

It looks like you can open it with your fingernail.

Anyway i've got a creative zen micro too with no issues.

I love it.
