Think about it, what would help more? them taking a week off of their schedule to serve food at the soup kitchen in New Orleans or them donating 1 million? who cares if they do it for selfish reasons.

Oprah has more money then she will ever spend in her entire life, i dont think she will make more money because of her donations. I think if you have millions or maybe billions you should give a much much higher percentage of your money to get the same respect as the little guy, because if i would give say 80% of my money away i would have a big problem, but if somebody with millions and millions would do that they would still have more money then they really need.

You should give to charity because you care about the subject not because you want to make money or get publicity. heck, try ***g0ts, they're made from: Ingredients pigs liver 450 gm onions 2 pc breadcrumbs 100gm suet 75 gm chopped sage 2 tsp salt sq pepper sq Method 1. Mince the liver and onions into a mixing bowl, this can be as fine or as coarse to suit your own tastes 2. Add the breadcrumbs, chopped suet, sage and season with the salt and pepper (it should be quite peppery) 3. Shape the mixture into small balls, if the mixture is too wet more breadcrumbs should be added 4. Place onto a greased oven tin and bake in moderate oven for about 30 minutes 5. Remove ***g0ts and add boiling water and a little flour to the tin to make gravy.

November 1, 200519 yr Its kind of sad that whenever some celebrity gives a large sum of money to some kind of a disaster fund they get all this massive publicity that the normal person wouldn't get. For instance, Oprah gave 10 million, and considering she is a billionaire, that just doesn't seem as much. Now lets say I am Average Joe and I gave $1000, which was approx. 80% of my current savings, I would get no publicity at all probobly, and if I did it would be only local. It seems to me that part of the reason celebs give is to get their name out there, so they can gain that money back and probobly end up making more off it. Now everyone is going to be like "oh Oprah is such a great person," but my views on Oprah are a different story. Honestly, I would think higher of celebs that gave anonymously, because that would show me they don't have other intentions. I don't know, I don't think its fair to everyone that you publicize only big givers, it makes the little guy seem less important and less likely to give in my opinion. I have given a fairly large amount, at least comparable to my salary. Will I ever get publicized? Not a chance. I just think we shouldn't make such a big deal over the big donors, because really any money given is great. Jay-Z and P-Diddy were a couple other givers that got some publicity, I believe they gave 500 grand each, for those of you who don't know.
