September 21, 200519 yr DHCP is Dynamic Host Control Protocol, it's used to assign private IP addresses to devices BEHIND the router. Your external, ISP-assigned IP address (which you can determine at places like http://whatismyip.com ) is what would be banned from a forum or messageboard. Changing the IP you're assigned behind your router (probably 192.168.x.y) won't let you ban evade. What you're looking for is an HTTP proxy, like those found at http://samair.ru/proxy/

September 21, 200519 yr Your ISP gives you your IP adress... If you don't want a gay ass proxy wich makes your pc slow just call your isp and request an IP change.
October 9, 200519 yr When i was banned, I changed my mac address in the router setup, changed the last 2 digits and it gave me a new ip, with alot of work hehe.
October 12, 200519 yr Unplug the power to your modem in the back, and keep unplugged for 24 hours. Plug it in the next day after 24 hours and woop, it's changed.

October 14, 200519 yr To appear to have a different IP address on websites use a http proxy, just go to internet options in IE, or Firefox, or etc. and set it up. IRC also supprts using proxies and socks4/5 servers in the options. To make other programs be able to use proxies/socks4/socks5 servers download FreeCap or SocksCap.
