Posted September 24, 200519 yr Well, I started out buy buying my first head unit! it was a $260 sony! I paid 180 for it but it sounded like shit! So I just bought a $500 JVC for 260 used... I used it for 1 day and it wont eject the CD! I took it apart and manualy renoved the disc and it now keeps trying to eject! :shifty: So I have had enough of this BS! Could some one recomend a quality unit... say in the $300 - $500 range that wont let me down? September 25, 200519 yr well if you buy alpine your going to want to run it straight to the battery for power or you runder feeding it and you need alot of knowledge on how to adjust levels by frequency not just bass and treble . best bang for your buck will be a pioneer headunit simple and quality sound but if your going to replace the head unit in your car and not the speakers you will be upset because its going to sound like shit your best bet is buy all new speakers a 4 channel amp and a headunit if you post what kind of vehicle you drive i can get you a nice setup listed on here for a decent price

I drive a sporty dodge avenger, and it has 6 speakers in it... the tweets are infinity kappas as well :eek3d: Also I need the low and high pass filters which is kinda why I like this unit :fingersx: I just hope its all that and then some! my jvc just had a 7 band EQ.. now thats lame!
