September 29, 200519 yr if you have DSL (that operates on PPPoE) or 56k: just reset your modem, or connection. cable and alike: call your isp. but, if you want to visit forums only, use a proxy. edit: its also likley your forum account was banned, and not your IP. might want to look into that.
September 29, 200519 yr Author download an app called "hide ip platinum" it is easy to use if u never have been using proxys before.. Thanks for that, I'm running hide IP right now. It's a good app, my browser is kind of sluggish but at least I can get into the forums now. if you have DSL (that operates on PPPoE) or 56k: just reset your modem, or connection. cable and alike: call your isp. but, if you want to visit forums only, use a proxy. edit: its also likley your forum account was banned, and not your IP. might want to look into that. September 30, 200519 yr using a proxy, it is normal for your browser to be sluggish as you are connecting through someone else but thanks to the forums users for posting useful replies in this thread for once
September 30, 200519 yr Well if you use one of them "F@st Modems" just dissconnect for an hour and it changes.
October 1, 200519 yr Author Do you run through a router? Yes I am. Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't able to connect to these forums for the past 2 days. :O_o: I found out that I need to leave a proxy on to connect to these forums. Idk why but ever since I started using 'Hide IP Platinum' the myg0t forums kept giving me a 'Page cannot be displayed' screen when I try to connect without a proxy...wtf.
October 1, 200519 yr most cable have static ips... renew or disconnecting for a second won't work i changed my ip by turning the cable modem off for like couple hours, went off to work, when i'm back, plugged it in and i got new ip
October 1, 200519 yr i have a cable isp, and the modems that they give forward my ethernet cards mac address and the isp assign;s an ip based on that, so if i change the mac and reboot the modem then i always get a new ip. (isp is ntl)
October 1, 200519 yr Author I also have a cable ISP that assigns a static IP. :O_o: Does anyone have Comcast? I mean Comcrap?
October 6, 200519 yr would changing my ip help for a global guid ban cuz punkfucker sucked ass by banning me for a " home made " hack ( basicly i edited some old hacks to work again and for a multihack ) ( btw dont think the proxy will work cuz i have a router )
October 6, 200519 yr If you run through a router then just go into your settings and change the first number in your MAC address by 1. For instance if its 42 change it to 43 or 41. Then restart your router and your modem and your IP will be different. Works like a charm.
