Posted September 30, 200519 yr the first time i installed and played it, it worked fine. then the second time it gave me this error message while starting the game: Can't find background image 'materials/console/background01.vtf' So i uninstall and reinstall the game and it works fine. and then again the second time i try to play after reinstalling it gives me that error message. and this rages me because i don't want to be uninstalling and reinstalling over and over because it takes a long time to download from steam's extremely slow servers. anybody getting this? i tried looking in the steam forums but their search engine is as buggy as their source engine ::rimshot:: no really their search engine just waits for like 40 seconds and then gives me an error message.
September 30, 200519 yr If it cant find the backround image then just go to csbananna and get a new one for DoD. A reinstall is not nessisary.
