DONT PLAY ON SECURE SERVERS!

Because somehow PunkBuster trys to justify banning hardware... Which is real classic seeing how you could sell your copy of BF2 on ebay and your harddrive and really fuck some poor bastards over. (assuming the harddrive biding winner gets bf2) Personally I think PunkBuster is bullshit just imagine what it would do to a internet cafe with the game if you kept getting thier shit banned. (Ironically valve counters this problem by making internet cafe's unbannable by vac which makes cheating impossible to stop EA games on the otherhand doesn't give a shit) Personally i'm thinking of a way of making a mass PunkBuster ban that will affect innocent players. (also VAC as well) its a real simple plan too. Shame I can't share it.

October 14, 200519 yr GUID ban means... your cd-key is banned your ip has been banned your HARDWARE has been banned meaning the only way to get out of this is to 1. buy a new hard drive 2. buy a new copy of BF2 3. change your IP 4. DONT PLAY ON SECURE SERVERS! from what i have been told a GUID ban just prevents your CD key hash (PB_GUID) from connecting to punkbuster servers so you just need a new CD key GUID bans & HW bans are two very different things also PB does not do IP bans (only the server admin would) because if they block your single IP you can just cange it if they ban the IP range that will block other legit players punkbuster players too

October 18, 200519 yr Omg totally off-topic... How can an admin have screen shot of you using chams and wall-hacks? Isn't that stuff client-side? I'm used to counter-strike, back in the day where nobody but you could see you were cheating (via wall-hacks, etc... not your cross-hairs bouncing around from aimbot, of course).
October 19, 200519 yr if the server admin has the PB screenshot option enabled then it is possible also if that admin is a member of punkbusted he can submit the screenshot of you in action and have you banned from all punkbusted associated servers. by the way Punkbusted has nothing to do with Punkbuster its just a group of people sharing a ban list (about 175 BF2 servers)
