It will never work like that. Trust me that is way too complicated for about 75% of the Army.

BTW that video was made by civillians. You can't say "repeat" over the radio for one thing.

It reminds me of Command and Conquer..

I have my ACU's on order right now. They're alot better than therrent BDU's. For one thing we can only use 3 pockets on the BDU's, the two on the front of the pants and the right rear pocket. We can't have anything in the pockets in the shirt-it always has to have a clean pressed look. But ACU's are a combat uniform. Wash and wear- no longer will we have to look all neat and pressed. I love the idea.

As for the new weapon. We were supposed to have the M8 (XM8 whatever you wanna call it) but the Marines wanted it as well and the contract was just for the Army. So we have to wait until they can build enough of them to supply the Army as well as the Marine corp.

Yeah, I like the ACU too. Alot more functional than the BDU. An actual pocket on the arms that won't be covered up by IBA. And I think it is more intimidating looking as well. It is a good move, welcomed.

Yeah but I hear alot of people bitching about the velcro. Stuff like "omg it makes too much noise". Yeah ok unless your S.F. Airborne, Ranger, Ninja etc. you not gonna be so close to the enemy that you can tell he didn't shave that day. If your that close WTF ARE YOU GONNA NEED TO GET INTO YOUR POCKET FOR??? A SNICKERS??? I don't hear anyone complaining about the velcro on the OTV.

"It looks stupid what are you going to blend in with?" Ok it's not the perfect camo. But neither is wearing DCU's with a WOODLAND CAMO OTV you jackasses.

Kix, were you the one on Irc I was talking to about the velcro, can't remember but someone was saying how even the ranks will be velcro'd on, is this true?

No I've never been on IRC. And yes the rank is velcro as well. The unit , U.S flag and rank are velcro. All skill badges can be pin-on or sewn-on.
