Posted October 15, 200519 yr For the first computer that I'm going to own personally, I want to go the 100% free route in terms of software (Fedora with GNOME). Since I am stuck with satellite internet, I don't need much more than a barebones PC - just need to browse the internet, send email, be on IRC, write the occasional school assignment, etc. So, does anyone know a good online vendor that sells fully put together PC's with no OS (Windows)?

October 17, 200519 yr Dell has one but it costs more than one that comes with XP.. lol http://hardware.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/10/08/034211 Besides, what's so hard about busting out fdisk and repartitioning the drive and then installing linux? (fedora/redhat has a graphical fdisk tool in the installer iirc) If it's cheaper to get a PC with a Windoze OS on it already, I'd go that route then install linux on it instead.
