Posted October 16, 200519 yr also posted this in computer discussion my geofrce 6600le on my brand new computer I just built wont run BF2 correctly. THis happens after I install it, I run the exe and the screen goes black like it should to adjust the dispaly settigns but then shrinks so I can see half my desktop and then crahses making my system restart. I have tried EVERYTHING but nothing seems to work including the fix root gave me from titanium, reinstalling bf2, reinstalling ALL of the brand new drivers, taking the card out of the ex x16 slot. changing display settings on card and on properties, changing video.con file in default profile for resolution, even system restore. NOTHING! CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME TO PLAY BF2!?
October 23, 200519 yr once i heard of the same problem and this was a shit linked with refresh rates of the monitor.
October 23, 200519 yr Author yup the refresh rates were it. if I even played roms from an emulator and decided to go full screen it would restart so it had nothing to do with BF2. just got a new lcd 12ms and it fixed it.
November 1, 200519 yr that sounds odd because i can run bf2 on a 256MB FX5200. sure the framerate sux and the graphics suck even harder but it runs absolutely fine. dont see why a 6600 series card wont' work
November 1, 200519 yr C'mon Shock, don't try to make sense out of it... Yes, unfortunately I'm on a 256mb FX 5600 myself. It runs like a charm, except when it's not running like a charm.
December 22, 200519 yr Did you plug the monitor into the GRAPHICS CARD port instead of the normal input port?
