Where do you work, does it pay well, and do you like it? You don't have to go into specifics but just give me a general idea.

I graduated college back in June and I still can't find a fucking job. The economy is so shitty in my state it's just pathetic.

Checkout person at Tesco.... i live like 10 mins away and its well easy work, i do it with being in college full time too.

And it pays well for what you do.

About two days a month as a vendor rep for a niche product in the auto industry (makes about $3K a month), part time computer repair business (started charging friends, in order to avoid all the "my box broke, can you come fix it?" idiocy all computer geeks go through, ended up with lots of business through word-of-mouth), and my investment portfolio from when I was working in the car business before going back to school.

You want easy work, even in a shit economy? apply at a few auto dealerships...if you talk a decent game, and like nailing people and having them THANK you for it, you can sell cars...if you're decent at doing it, you'll end up running a sales crew or in the F&I office pretty quickly...

While im at college im working at a Canadian Tire store in toronto in the auto shop changing oil filters and tires.

I used to work for eurest catering at a nursing home - they made all the dinners and suppers for the residents and i had to work in the kitchens making food and other days work as a water.

i did enjoy the job a lot actually - ive worked at other placves like next clothes store and all you do is stand around all day, do fuck all and go brain dead through all the boredom. At this place one minute id be (sounds stupid) one day id be baking a cake and making tarts or something, next day id be doing a load of sandwhiches, next day id be tlaking to a resident about something shes done in her life haha - but the job was fun and not boring at all - also got to go home early and still get paid for the whole hour (sometimes left at 12:30 and got paid till 2!) also other things like when in the kitchen you could bring your own cd's in or listen to the radio, have a drink whenever you want one , help yourself to all the food there - the people i worked with were all my 'sort' of ppl, like got on with them all pretty much. was a good job. not the best paid but still reasonable .

when you compare that to standing in a clothes store all day, bored shitless......

but it was only a part time job while i was at school , i then had to leave after 2 yrs and 8 mnths to go to uni and after 3 weeks ive quit uni, so im now jobless lol - i want to get a full time job but dont want something shit!

Work in a grocery for £3.50 an hour (about $7?) and I run a side company where I build pcs for people in the local area , but if you're looking for something to keep you in a house, you dont want to bother with those jobs.

so

Telecommunications/computer networking feild technician. I run the phone and data cable for major construction jobs around here, install and program the phone systems(mostly ToshibaCTX's), and maintain all incoming data and phone lines. I'm trying to get into the more IT side of shit, but it's a slow transition, but going to be worth it in the long run.
I'm a web designer and developer, but sadly most people don't take my skills seriously. I'm pretty sick and tired of having people ask for free websites (Not just design, they ask for full on development) and of course never finishing since there's no real monetary compensation for it.

That's one of our baby's.

Good luck searching in the western ****** places, in chine and so on they get like 6$ pr. hour. but they are also niggar slave's. :nigga:

I work for a campus of a university.

I take care of the library, a computer lab, ordering resources for the school up to about $80,000 a year, activities (which were fucking cool until they stopped it a month ago :( ) and teaching English for foreign students a few hours a week.

30 hrs a week, $35k.

(edited in, forgot about this)

Private English teaching, about 5 hours a month- $20 an hour.

Online games sales, about $100 a month.

Until two weeks ago I was running a non-profit community club for foreigners to meet locals and make friends. We had loads of raucous drunken parties, bbq's, group dinners with lots of drinks, hot spa days in winter and beach trips in summer, and loads of other stuff.

I was making some money from the activities, but not enough to compensate for the time I spent running the club, so I closed it. I'll try to get government funding for it next year, to employ staff and pay myself a decent salary/cover costs, then run it again. Apparently there is an underused budget for this sort of thing which is good.

I study CCNA in my spare time, and am going for some tests soon (pre-requisites for something... will tell later).

By the way, some of you in here are bullshitting and it stands out like a boner in a dress. Others have been honest in stating jobs you may be ashamed of, but that honesty shows guts. With guts, honesty and determination you will go further than you will with bullshit, pride and vanity.
