I work for my self as a contractual builder in masonry.

wich means for years I was a sun burnt labor working hauling huge blocks all day and going to school at night to get my contractual builders licences.

It can pay very well, this past year I left a compeny and went out on my own [again] money is alot less but more then most jobs,I do nothing but walk around with my cell phone and bitch at labor all day and stress on haven the masonry supplies on the job sites to finish on time,do to lack of room on a new lot with building I can only bring in so much at a time. The over head is huge and the cost of Payroll Taxes, Workmans Compensation, supplies can cost as much as 40 grand in a week.Im stressed out and retiring at the first of the new year.Bottom line ,It sucks and is worth it for the money but if I do not retire this coming year im going to fall apart from stress. So im leaving it and starting casino and porn sites on the myg0t server soon [soon as i can sit for more then 20 at a time] :p

i dont know what the word in english is for it, so i just call it handy man assistant.

on work i paint houses, and carry materials and sort them. i like the job, nice boss etc. i make quite good, i cant give you an exact number in American dollars, since ive forgotten most of the money courses. its 100% tax free, and i make just enough money, and i dont pass the tax limit :)

I use to work for Firestone as an apprentice making $10.75 hrly rates + $6.75 student commision/hr. Did that for about 3 years, then quit due to lack of hours.

New job - Deli cutting meat at $9.75/hr

In English, we'd just say "I'm a roofer" or MAYBE, if we felt like coming across a bit smarter "I do torch-down and tile/slate roofing"

I always hated doing torch-down when I was doing roofing...ruins your shoes, ruins your clothes, stinks to high heaven, and if you manage to get any of the shit in your hair, the only way to get it out is a fucking haircut....

Roofing is the myg0t business of choice.

use to work for an attorney service at the courthouse downtown los angelas. its pretty easy you walk around alot and can just stay out of the office and no one will really notice and towards the end of the day you just stand in line and give papers to clerks. its min wage (6.75 here) but its easy money

Do you get good benefits? 401k plan?

Indeed I do.

im a night auditor in a hotel. Its sort of difficult to catch on to but in the end its not bad at all. graveyard shifts 11-7 but i get to pick my 2 days off i want everyweek. Plus i get a free meal every shift from either of the 2 restuarants or 2 lounges. i only do about 3-4 hours of work and then sit on my ass for the rest of my shift, watch tv, bring my xbox in ( we have a tv in the back office) the pay isnt the greatest but it gets the bills paid. 10$/hr
I am currently looking for work, but the last job i had was at a pool shop, all i ever did was clean and fill up drums with chlorine, good job too only really end up working about 1 whole straight hour out of 7 hours work.

Not to mention , the cost of Employee benefits (health insurance, retirement plans & paid vacation time), Accountants , Commercial Vehicle insurances , Liability Insurance , Equipment & vehicles maintenance , Equipment purchases ,Payroll services , Nextel monthly bills and the endless hours of Estimates/Bid workups , invoicing and daily BS that happens M-F.

However on the bright side you can take the day off when ever you want and never have to ask permission.

School in the winter but I work in a ski shop for about 10 hours every winter for free tickets. In the summer, I caddy at this rich country club. I work for about 4 hours (whenever I want) and make at least 80$ per round.
