awesome.

nanotech is where its at, but the thought of it being utilized for war purposes is pretty scary to me.

Very interesting, now they need to make the world's smallest McDonalds.

what?

this thread is retarded. Yet a little intresting. but who really cares if they built a tiny "car".

another item for my already, bloated x-mas list.

oh and by "Some of the smarter people might enjoy" I ment that the dumshit trolls would come into this thread and hijack it. While others would actually read it and find it interesting.

Hmmm... Interesting, if it was used in the military it would most likely be used for espianoge and assassination.

The only issue I can see with this being "intellectual" in nature is that the end result is practically useless, now, and in the future.

No need for "nanocars" and "nano trucks" to transprt atoms for "construction" in "nano factories"

Sinc,e if you're building something with nanotech, the raw material STILL has to be supplied, it'd be much easier to suspend the whole "factory" in a liquid medium, anyhow, so as to make transport and "feeding" much easier...

Think about it, here...the point of nano is to be able to do things like injecting someone with an ultra microscopic "nanobot" surgical team...which will travel via bloodstream, or to build pantographic reproducers (a machine something along the lines of Star Trek's "replicators", where you supply raw materials in the form of "anything", the "replicator" strips the source material down to bare atoms, then builds what's ordered from a stored record of molecular blueprints...kind of an atomic-level chop-shop)...in all cases, working in a "dry" enviroment, where rolling transportation is useful is actually an impedance...

Now if you want some interesting shit...chick who I went to HS with (she graduated HS at 15) is currently working on bacterial alteration...one of the things she's told me they're working on is bacterium that feed on fatigue poisons and secrete analogues for adrenalin and pain-killing endorphines as waste products...imagine THOSE being used for military applications...the more tired or hurt a soldier gets, the more amped up, unable to feel pain, and stronger he gets...

awesome.

agreed.

Can I get that wit sum dubz ? Or do i have to pay more ?
Instead of building little cars, how about the people who have access to that kind of equipment/knowledge do something useful with it?

they cant, because they are sposored by lego lololol

Yeah, I have friend who graduated college at 18 (not being sarcastic or trying to oneup you its just a statement so dont filp) and his dad Ramene Yazdani is also working on something like that except its for breaking down trash and turning it into a natural gas therefor creating something quite useful out of waste products.

I don't flip over shit like that, mate...if you know shit or have been through shit that "oneups" me somewhere, no big deal.

As is, I got enough issues with people thinking I'm full of shit because I've deliebrately engineered an eventful life, and gone out of my way to meet as many "unusual" people as I can. No reason I'd disbelieve someone else has met someone more "out there" or "extraordinary" than the folks I've met, or done something I haven't...I KNOW what's possible, from looking back on how easily such "outrageous" events in such numbers have happened to/around me.

But the engineering of more virulent decomp bacterium is old news...you can buy them cheaply for use in septic systems, and even have "cutting edge" lab created ones donated to you by the Alternativer Energy COmmission, if you apply for the right grant.

I think it's way cool that you'd have enough interest to pay attention when someone told you that that's what he (or his dad) was doing, though...not enough people who will open their eyes (and minds) to such enterprises.

One thing I'll tell you, as advice, and totally off the subject...firsthand knowledge is irreplacable...and around here, so long as you can speak relatively intelligently about what you've learned, only the dumbfucks give you a hard time...if you pick up something interesting, start talking about it, man...the bright fuckers will want to pick your brain for what they don't know, some will have something helpful to add to it, and the rest...well, they're pure dumbfucks, and we can all get a good laugh at flaming the fuck out of their ignorant asses if they try to throw any shit around :)

Sorta sounds like hes being sarcastic when he says he wants to use the "Trucks" for moving molecules around, Then I thought about it and it seems pretty logical.
Yeah, use it in espionage and assassination... what the fuck are you going to do? Ride on him with a molecular car until he dies?
