ok so this is the first sig ive ever made from scratch... how is it?

The only thing you did was blend in the render. That looks okay though.

for a first sig its not bad but there is alot of room for improvement read some tuts but for a first sig ever its pretty good

Very good for your first sig. Blending need improvments and thats about it :) Oh yeah, put a Pixel boarder on it. Select All > Edit > Stroke

ok i put a border, 3pixels.. how would i improve on blending?

either, use brushes on the edges of the redner/picture or take the Rubber tool and use an abstract brush as the Rubbing Shape and put opacity to like 20% and below and just go over the edges of your render

better than Playa's sigs.

ok i sharpened the edges and changed the color of the background, along with the name.. blended it.

Looks much better, try put a Colour Balance in :) Edit > Ajustments >Colour Balance.

i put come color adjustments in earlier, but where you directed it, i did not see it ..

sorry, I meant "Image>Ajustments>Colour Balance"

you notice a difference? i merged all and made a color balance... no big change that I see

Not horrible but that render is not so hot.

Looks much fucking better :) You could try a boarder out like this if you like;

 

On the stroke menu, select it as "Inside" set boarder width to 3 and colour to white, hit ok, do the same again, Stroke menu>Inside, now set the width to 2 then the colour to black hit ok. same again Stroke menu>Inside, now finally set the colour to white and width to one. Click ok, and your done :)

 

Just some tips you might wanna know, to add a little bit more to your sigs.

you didnt make it from scratch if you used a render

 

it probably took you 6 clicks to apply those horrible filters, try spending more time on it

Oh and where do you get your fonts?

And, Panzer~, you said something about brushes, well how do i do all these effects that yall do
