Posted October 26, 200519 yr i recently JUST purchased CS:S and i have been playin everyday and gettin pretty decent. well my roommates thought it would be cool to download hacks and try to play.. so they did, got my banned from VAC server EVERYWHERE! is there anyway possible i can get my account unbanned on STEAM so i can play CS:S and not be a waste of friggin money on my part!!?? thnx in advance
October 27, 200519 yr We know it was you using hacks. Stop trying to lie you're way through it. The only way you're going to be able to play on that account again, is to wait 1 year (in most cases). I have 2 steam accounts, and 1 got banned last July. I just got it back this July. But if you don't wanna wait... take the fucking game back to walmart or wherever you got it. Just tell them it doesn't install, and you would like another one. Its not like they test the keys anyway. Hell, my friend did this with his WoW account. So wait 1 year.. or take the game back, and swap it for a new one.

October 27, 200519 yr Author well i took it back and got a new one.. and when a created a new STEAM account and uninstalled and reinstalled the CSS game.. and it says im still banned... why?
October 27, 200519 yr Author ok.. sorry i was not banned... when i registered my new STEAM account, i got a pop up saying i had a "history" of cheating... and that i would be banned from VAC servers... but i can play in them just fine... sorry for the miscommunication
October 27, 200519 yr VAC is just and engine ban so if you cheat on cs 1.6 you can still play source. And there is a bug where you log into a banned account and then log in to a unbanned account the unbanned one shows as being banned.
