November 2, 200519 yr I live on a ranch and we butcher cattle somtimes for the meat. Its hella cool to pop a .22 in the head and so see this 1800lbs cow just drop like a ton of bricks and then... look out... ehehe starts kickin' like a mother fucker. It's the nerves in the body trippin' out. Some beleve that the cow or (you) are still "alive" , and able to see and hear for a short time afterwards. Any volunteers to test this theroy ?? lolz

November 4, 200519 yr ok, lets break this down and think about it shall we? Your brain does what? It controls your body correct? It also feels what your body does. In other words you can not live with out it. If you are decapitated you are dead within a second or two, definately not enough time to claim to be alive still. People who are brain dead are not living, they are merely existing. Yes we all saw the body flop around as if it was still alive, but all this is, is the last nervical impulses sent to the body. You see the pig trying to get up before being kill, after the head was severed those same impulses still controled the body. It is said that humans will twitch for a long period after death, if they are surprised or startled by what killed them. These are the remains of the electrical impulses through the body. This too played a part in the beginning of the belief that there are zombies. The person is clearly dead, why are they still moving? What are they going to do when i go to sleep tonight? etc. The pig died just about painlessly, and i assure you that while the body flopped around it felt no pain, because they brain which is what tells your body it hurts, was no longer attached. The same for people who are crippled, the link to the brain is broken, there for no feeling can be had.
