Hi, i want to set up a network with my lappy and my pc. The pc is connected to an ethernet router and also has a wireless card in it. does anyone know where i could get a Software access point program? or is there another way. I am trying to avoid getting an hardware access point.

you need a wireless router and a wireless card in each, unless you connect them through ethernet cables to the router

i have a wireless card in the laptop and the pc but dont have an access point.

i need a software access point i just cant find any. i have the pc on an ethernet router is it posable to connect the laptop to the pc or will i need to get an hardware access point.

You mean, instead of using a wireless router to connect wirelessly to the lap and via eternet to the comp? Yes, you can connect from comp to comp. But I think most of the software should come with the card or something. I don't wirelessly network much.
