basically hackers in CS etc are using it (by simply adding a character string to the beginning of a file name, the DRM accepts the file and hides it) to hide their loaded hooks, etc.

 

also, you can add the same string of characters to say.... Nero, and have the DRM hide nero from itself, and be able to rip otherwise unrippable CD's.

nice find, and not surprising- Sony fails.

Wow, Slashdot has only duped that story like 4 times in the last 2 weeks. Since it's hiding it from the API, you can use it to 'hide' hacks for any game. :|

Although I'm not a big fan of piracy, I don't agree with the whole DRM stuff either.

lets get some tutorials on how to hide hacks behind this because im a complete and utter noob
