For example, Optus ET servers have been lagging badly lately and they're closing down in 2 weeks so nobody cares if they get caught for hacking so there's been hackers all over the servers... Would a hack/several hackers cause lag? Or is it just a problem with the server? Thanks.
November 16, 200519 yr As greeneyes said, probably just crappy servers. But, a hack does require extra CPU power, and does modify the game code in such a way that it might lag an old computer.
November 17, 200519 yr Author Understood, but thats client side only right? Say if someone else is hacking on the server, it couldnt cause everyone else on the server lag right? Even if its some dodgy coded hack?
November 17, 200519 yr Well if you lag it most likely affects other people because your computer won't send/respond to messages.
December 30, 200519 yr it is many time if some download and he has a ping over 500 it can affect other people on the server.(i said it can,not does)
