November 23, 200519 yr HTTP/SOCKS Proxy or ipconfig /release -> ipconfig /renew if you're on some kind of dynamic connection
November 24, 200519 yr ipconfig /release -> ipconfig /renew you'd use cmd for that, i don't know about proxy's never used those
November 24, 200519 yr Fucking hell, you stupid cunt. Google it. did you google that dumbfuck answer? go to start > run.. type in cmd. In the little prompt that opens, type ipconfig release. wait a few mins, then type in ipconfig renew. A load of spams will come up with numbers. If you're on a dynamic IP then it should change or something. But if you're on a dynamic IP you can just unplug your modem for a few minutes and plug it back in.

January 4, 200619 yr Easy method on dynamic ip connection: -Unplug modem and plug back in. Gets new ip.
January 4, 200619 yr It sucks balls if your ISP has given you a static IP, cant change it for shit, when i want to change it i need to turn off my modem for like 6+ hours and then put it back on.
January 4, 200619 yr here is a little tut http://www.2000trainers.com/article.aspx?articleID=343&page=1
January 4, 200619 yr ^^That won't work. It will just change your IP address when you're within a network. It will also give you a private IP address, so you can't connect to the internet.
January 6, 200619 yr Yeah just the other day I googled a free proxy, never knew how to work them or anything, and now I got everything set up by just reading the tuts. http://www.stayinvisible.com/index.pl DL it, its free, im using it, so far it works just fine, and i have a router so usually things like this gets fucked up trying to use them. Comcast (if you are using it) uses only static ips (i think) so it wont change if you just unplug your modem. youll have to use the proxy. so far iv only figured out how to mask (proxys mask your ip, not change them, but gets the job done) your ip using your browser. so if your trying to change your ip to get unbanned from a server, i dont know, i just started a thread asking how to do that.
January 6, 200619 yr if you truly want to change your internet IP address, and have cable internet you can try the following: If you are behind a NAT router, simply get to your routers web configuration page, and find out how to change the router's MAC address on the WAN side. If you have a cable provider like Mediacom, or Comcast, this will be gurenteed to work being that these ISPs are using a DHCP IP addressing scheme. For others, I have not experimented with. If you are Directly Connected to your cable modem, you can change your MAC address for your ethernet adapter, if ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew doesnt bring in a new address. you can do this by: go to Start > right click on my computer > click properties > click the Hardware tab > click Device Manager > find your ethernet adapter under "Network Adapters" > right click on the adapter > click properties > click the advanced tab > highlight "Network Address" > type in the 16 digit hexadecimal MAC address into the field on the right > click ok > run ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew to refresh your IP address there you have it. EDIT: I found an illustrated guide here: http://www.nthelp.com/NT6/change_mac_w2k.htm
January 8, 200619 yr yeah t3rmight was right in doing that but since i have dsl i rellay dont need that. if you want to change your ip a simpler way and dont have dsl you can donwload hide ip platinum which is a program that can be downloaded throgh a torrent and hides your ip by finding a proxy anywhere in the world. (china, kenya, vietnam etc.)
