November 26, 200519 yr if they payed you with paypal your fucked.... they can report you to paypal fraud and get the money back
November 26, 200519 yr Okay, so I sold my World of Warcraft account to IGE for $130. I recieved payment, they changed password. They did NOT change the secret question answer however, so I of course changed it and changed my password so they cannot have access to it. They emailed me about 2 weeks later asking to give them the info or they will file legal action. I figured they were just talking shit. Then the owner of IGE leaves a voice message saying they are taking legal action. Now, since selling/buying accounts is against the Blizzard ToS can they do anything legal about this? Wouldn't they need some sort of proo that I did this only obtanible through blizzard? I'm not sure if blizzard would give them the info as they are violating the ToS. What do you guys think? Get a good lawyer and think next time you do something y the way Im laughing at you right now :dfinger:
November 27, 200519 yr Listen I did this with everquest accounts way back in the day...id scam people on Ebay to give me the info first than payment...THEY CANT DO SHIT YOU WIN!!!! its against the ToS and no matter what they do they broke the legal contract and you would win no matter what YOU DONT EVEN NEED A LAWYER IF YOU GO TO COURT!! just highlight that one thing
November 27, 200519 yr What me n friends used to do, is scam people accounts on EQ. We'd trade accounts, thru gamepal (using a friend). We'd get the other account/money, then change the info on the acount. Then we'd notify game pal (or the EQ support people) that someone (the other friend) stole the friends account and give them the info then they'd give it back. So, we'd end up with our original account and an extra one. At that point we sell the stolen account to GamePal for REAL money. It works perfect because EQ and Sony say in the EULA/TOS that they don't condone/support account trading and will do nothing about it, but they will help you get back a stolen account =]

November 27, 200519 yr rifk, nice idea how much $$$ you guys making? Well, the accounts we trade are worth a LOT of money. When EQ first came out, and acounts were going for 500+ USD, we'd be making 1000+ USD a week.
